Basel, November 2021: The Giraffe Heroes Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with 1% for the Planet as a newly selected non-profit partner.
1% for the Planet is an international organization whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual sales to environmental causes. Their mission is to „build, support and activate an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet.“ 1% for the Planet members assist nonprofit organizations that protect land, forests, rivers, oceans and also encourage sustainable methods of energy production.
In celebration of this we are launching the projects of five of our commended Giraffing Personalities under the Bees and Trees Initiative and are inviting 1% for the Planet members to support generously. Bees and trees shall provide you with ample reward!
Furthermore, as a Partnership Token we have designed The Resilience and Regeneration Bloc, featuring the 1% for the Planet logo on top and surrounded by Giraffe Heroes tags. You may use it as a display on its own, a pedestal or a paper weight. The bloc is made of fully recyclable mycelium and manufactured by Mycrobez AG, a young start-up devoted to a 100% circular product cycle economy.
